That’s what it says on Yahoo! Philippines. I find it weird to have the related article featured on its homepage then when you click on the link, the article is gone already. It made me think that somehow it was erroneously posted or Yahoo!’s been ordered to take down that article. It was only temporary though, the swallowable perfume article is now back online.

But really, perfume that you can swallow? I accidentally sprayed perfume on my mouth before thinking it was breath freshener. So you’ll understand that the idea of swallowing perfume is not welcoming. But what is this weird thing anyway?
Swallowable Parfum is research project by Amsterdam-based artist Lucy McRae and synthetic biologist Sheref Mansy. The Perfum is a digestible scented capsule that works through your own perspiration. It is capsule that is metabolized by the body to create a fragrance emanating from within. Once absorbed, fragrance molecules are excreted through the skin’s surface. A unique odor is emanated, depending on each individual’s acclimatization to temperatures, to stress, exercise, or sexual arousal.
Does that mean that the higher the temperature or the more a person is stressed, sweats or aroused, the fragrant he or she becomes? Does that also mean that if a person who takes this perfume capsule is not stressed, doesn’t sweat and the temperature is not high, he or she is “turned on?” I wonder.
