Remembering September 11, 2001

September 11, 2001.

It’s been ten years since the 9-11 World Trade Center attack happened. It’s been ten years yet it seems like just yesterday. Time passed by but for many, especially those who have lost their loved ones in the tragedy, the wound is still there. Healing. But still painful.

 I was only 14 then and young. I didn’t understand why the 9-11 attack had to happen. I have already grown ten years older and still don’t understand why those terrorist had to terrorize. America may have its fault as a society but we also have ours. Why kill hundreds and thousands of innocent lives? What is’ the point? What are they trying to prove?

To prove which is the better religion between Christianity and Islam?  It is just a nonsense talk.  I am a Christian and I know who my God is. But even  if I were a Muslim and the name of my God is  Allah, I still wouldn’t do that—for that surely is against His will. And supposing I were a Buddhist, I still wouldn’t find nirvana in seeing people jump off the collapsing World Trade Center. Would you?

To prove that America was wrong and the terrorists were right? Excuse me but there is no righteousness in hijacking airplanes and make them crash onto twin towers.  And if you think that you’re a hero in following your leaders to die together with your victims for the sake of your principles, you’re dead wrong! You would have been better off disobey your leader  and let him suffer the fate he wants innocent people to suffer from.

There have been many September 11 conspiracy theories but whatever the reason are, the damage has been done. The best we can do now is to move on and pray for the souls of those who died in the attack and that another tragic September 11 incident (or whatever the date is) will never happen again.

I am not an American but I will say “God bless America.”
